Little Bar, Cremorne
Complete internal and external renovation to an apartment in Cremorne, Sydney.
Description
The design of this apartment renovation is characterised by the introduction of a storage wall to define dining and living spaces.
The storage wall consists of a pull down bar and study bench in the dining space and library shelving and a TV shroud in the living space with hinged fronts below.
Birch plywood battens spring from the top of the storage wall to add interest and define the dining area. LED lighting is concealed on the back face of the ply battens. Patterning is further added through the specification of herringbone flooring across the length of the apartment.
Walls were knocked through to create a sense of openness, bounce natural light, and visually connect habitable spaces to the two large outdoor terraces. The new kitchen has been oriented to take advantage of the views and visual connection to the terraces.
The bathroom renovation has been completed with floor to ceiling light-grey mosaic stone tiling offset by eye-catching brass fixtures and fitting.
The terrace included a new outdoor kitchen with an alfreco dining area, pergola, terrace lounge and a bar overlooking the harbour.
